JANUARY 2017 VISA BULLETIN: EMPLOYMENT BASED PREFERENCE 2ND CATEGORY PRIORITY DATES FOR INDIAN NATIONALS ADVANCES TO APRIL 2008

The Department of State (DOS) recently issued the visa bulletin for January 2017. The Visa Bulletin provides information with regards to the availability of immigrant numbers during January 2017 for Application Final Action Dates and Dates for Filing Applications, demonstrating when the immigrant visa applicants should be advised to collect and submit the required documentation to the National Visa Center.

 

The recent visa bulletin January 2017 issued by the Department of State (DOS) has some movement in the cut-off dates for different categories.

The final action dates for the employment based second preference category 2nd (EB2) for Indian nationals advanced from February 01 2008 to April 15, 2008 which is a movement of approximately 2 months. Also, in the employment based first preference category 1st (EB1) final action dates are current.

 

The final action dates for Eb3 category for Indian nationals has shown no movement. Also the priority date for all chargeability areas is still current for Eb2 category and has advanced by 1 month from July 01 2016 to August 1 2016 for EB3 category.

Under the Filing of Employment-Based visa applications, the dates for Indian nationals in the EB2 category and EB3 category remain the same in comparison to the prior month.
