There is good news for H-1b visa holders. USCIS has announced that it has resumed premium processing for certain additional types of H-1b visa petitions.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) informed that it has resumed premium processing on September 18, 2017 for all H-1B visa petitions subject to the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 cap.
In addition to the resumption of premium processing for H-1B visa petitions subject to the FY 2018 cap, USCIS had previously resumed premium processing for H-1B petitions filed on behalf of physicians under the Conrad 30 waiver program, as well as interested government agency waivers and for certain H-1B petitions that are not subject to the cap.
USCIS also informed that the Premium processing services remains temporarily suspended for all other H-1B petitions, such as extensions of stay.
USCIS also informed that it will announce in detail when the agency would begin to accept premium processing H-1b petitions for all other categories of H-1b visa petitions.
