On October 3, 2017, the USCIS informed that the agency has started accepting premium processing for all types H-1b visa petitions including extension of stay.
Earlier this year the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it will suspend the premium processing service for all H-1b visa petitions with effect from April 3, 2017. USCIS had stated that the suspension might continue for a period of 6 months. The reason for this suspension as stated by USCIS was to enable USCIS clear the backlog of petitions filed under non-premium processing category.
Prior to accepting all types of H-1b visa petitions for premium processing, recently the USCIS had started accepting certain H-1b petitions under premium processing applications which include petitions filed for Physicians and under the Conrad 30 waiver program, as well for certain cap exempt employers and lastly for Cap petitions filed for fiscal year 2018.
