PRESIDENT TRUMP AGAIN FACES CRITICISM FROM FOREIGN NATIONS ON HIS IMMIGRATION STANCE

December 19, 2017

Recently President Trump encountered severe criticism from foreign nations about his stance on immigration. We have heard a lot about white house and administration’s standpoint on immigration and related matters.

Lately while speaking with supporters in the state of Florida, President Trump stated that the United States does not listen to other countries on the subject of immigration.

In his words “We don’t listen to other countries telling us how we should be running our immigration".

The president also reiterated that the U.S. will have the strongest border wall. He also mentioned few things included in the White House list of immigration goals which asks congress to adopt a pro-American immigration system.

Other immigration goals include ensuring that immigrants who enter the country are financially self-sufficient and are not on welfare programs. He also mentioned that the country needs a merit based immigration system. Lastly, the President also mentioned that there should be an end to chain migration.

Critics have accused the administration's immigration policy of being isolationist and anti-immigration.
