PRESIDENTDONALD TRUMP: ‘TIME FOR CONGRESS TO ADOPT PRO-AMERICAN IMMIGRATION AGENDA’

December 20, 2017

President Trump has always been a supporter of Pro-American immigration agenda. This has been communicated by the President many times in the past. Once again the President has voiced his support for pro-American immigration agenda in a rally in Florida.

President Trump has demanded that the GOP-led Congress should immediately adopt an immigration agenda that puts Americans first, rather than the interests of foreign nationals and foreign nations first.

Among the pro-American immigration initiatives that President Trump wants each member of Congress to answer on are:

  • Blocking funds to sanctuary cities which give safe have to criminal illegal aliens

  • Passing Kate’s Law which would put harsher sentences on repeat-criminal illegal aliens

  • Increasing the number of federal immigration agents and Border Patrol officers

  • Ensuring that new immigrants arriving in the U.S. are economically self-sufficient

  • Ending chain migration: reports suggest that nearly 70% immigrants in the last decade have entered the country on the basis of chain migration.

  • Ending immigrant visa lottery

Recently, the members of House passed a bill known as Kate’s Law. The bill would increase the penalties on immigrants who are deported from the United States and try to re-enter the country.

Kate's Law is named after Kate Steinle, a San Francisco woman who was killed by an illegal immigrant who was in the U.S. despite multiple deportations. The Alleged shooter Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez had been deported five times and had seven felony convictions.
